500 years in Business celebrated in Bridport town hall
On the 12th September we were 500 years old. We are proud to say we are England’s oldest family business, trading since 1515.
We have raised £4,800 for Cancer Research UK

RJ Balson are proud winners of Taste of the West Smoked Dry Cure Bacon award. All made from local free range pork, supplied by Childhay Manor. Our bacon is available at our local shop in Bridport.
Janet Street-Porter joined TV chef Brian Turner in our shop filming for the BBC’s “A Taste of Britain”, to be shown later in the 2014 summer/autumn schedule.
The pair were interested to sample the two oldest homemade products still sold, being our original pork sausages and famous faggots – both made to family recipes handed down through the generations.

In May we were proud to play host to the Tercentenarians Business Club – an exclusive club for businesses that have survived for more than 300 years and are still owned by the founding family
